I really like Elton John, but I wouldn't call myself enough of an expert to compile a greatest hits.  There's other bands I can do it for, though.  I still wouldn't mind reading other lists.

Many of the hits are great songs, but I'm so burned out on many of them. "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" is one I never seem to get tired of. It's my favorite Elton/Bernie hit song.
Here's a bit of trivia. Did you know that Elton's drummer, Nigel Olsson, had a top 20 hit in 1978 with "Dancin' Shoes"?

By FAR, my fave is Madman across the water, and Someone saved my life tonite is 2nd.

...and for the record, I'm a huge Alice Cooper fan.  Elton likes Alice too, and one of my favorite A.C. albums is FROM THE INSIDE, which was co written by Bernie Taupin.  Davey Johnstone played guitar with Alice around that time '78 - '79 and I have DVD footage.

Was looking back through this thread and realized I totally forgot another one of my absolute favorites, The Ballad of Danny Bailey (1909-34), so I decided to rewrite my list. There aren’t any major changes outside of the addition of Bailey and Roy Rogers moving up on the list:

San Diego, "Madhouse Rock" Tour, 1979.  I was a few months old.  Alice at his thinnest and most coked out.  Definitely Davey Johnstone.
