Stooge and Confused, that IS a great Elton song, thanks for posting that! Curly4444, "Your Song" is probably my favorite of Elton's hits, good choice.
S&C also mentioned how "Burnin' For You" was the other BOC charting hit, so I guess that would technically make "them two hit wonders." The funny thing is the two hits are 5 years apart and BOC were consistently touring and releasing albums successfully, and were also able to maintain a loyal fan base, so again, it's unfair to judge them by number of hits. This reminded me of something we hit upon in the 60's thread when discussing Procul Harum, and Blue Oyster Cult is another great example. Great band.
For a humorous link between BOC and Elton John, I have a live recording of BOC, and during some extended jam, singer Eric Bloom is doing a rap with the crowd. He mentions how one day he's going to be in the home for old rockers sitting in his wheelchair hitting on the nurses with Elton John. A cool thing to say in 1974, but with 2011 knowledge, very comical for obvious reasons. I let out a huge laugh when I first heard that!
