You seem to travel a lot - have you been porno-scanned or groped at the airport yet, or do you avoid flying?
- I travel by air only once/twice a year. Haven't been to L.A. in a couple years; I'm due, but my budget is resistant.
- Haven't been thru the new security "status quo" yet. Last time I flew was late September, Lehigh Valley PA to Greensboro NC, before this new measure.
- I don't avoid air travel at all... it's my preferred.
But in the past few years, I have leaned toward using non-hub airports, e.g., Lehigh Valley PA to Burbank CA (vs. Newark NJ to L.A. Intl). It costs more, usually involves a connection, adds a couple+ hours to the trip, but [to me] all that is worth more than the aggravations, waits and delays that the major airports have. Not to mention the lower blood pressure.
I predict non-hub metros, and regional connectors, will indirectly benefit/grow from the fallout of all this.
