Interesting, I had no idea a biopic was made of Todd's life.
Margaret Dumont will always be known as THE Marx Brothers' foil, but I thought Todd worked beautifully as the "Dumont substitute" in the two movies she did with the boys. Her characters were like anti-Dumonts, played as though she was in on the joke, and she had an easy and natural sense of humor that made all her scenes with the brothers breezy and fun. In Monkey Business in particular she had kind of a "Nick and Nora Charles" vibe going with Groucho, which made a nice change of pace from the "insult the clueless rich matron" formula of the other movies.
