I just love this scene. When he plays the mechanical man and is whacking the the other guy on the head... well, that's hilarious. And that laugh is priceless.

I agree 100%.  I put this, along with the preacher scene in THE PILGRIM as my all-time favorite Chaplin scene.

Yes, there's some really nice music in THE CIRCUS. And Chaplin composed it all himself, but I'm sure you knew that.
