I'm not in the market for insurance right now, but if I were, I'd want to check out Geico's rates compared to other companies because they spend so damn much money on advertising, and it's got to be expensive. Between TV and radio, they usually have two, sometimes three, ad campaigns going at the same time. Years ago they were a relatively small outfit that only insured government workers; their original name was Government Employees' Insurance Company. Somewhere along the line, they got very ambitious. Nothing wrong with that, but there's nothing wrong with some comparison shopping, either... and I'm not the type to be swayed by glossy ads.
