Okay, actually it's an old (1963) Stooges-related (Homer & Jethro) re-discovery...
On HOMER & JETHRO GO WEST [RCA Victor LSP-2674; 1963]
there's a cut entitled "Oh, Give Me A Home" and it starts like this:
Oh, give me a home
Where the buffalo roam,
And i'll show you a house that's not clean.
Where the kids fight and shout,
The dog barks to go out;
A typical American scene.
You get the idea. Well, later in the song there's a verse
that really gets down to the nitty-gritty of daily family
life in the US of A circa the late 1950s to early 1960s:
You come home at eight
And dinner is late
'Cause the kids have TV on, and so...
You can't eat a bite
Til they've seen the last fight
Between Larry & Curly & Moe!
And lest you think things have changed... on an episode of either
infomania or Web Soup I saw last week, they ran a "viral video"
clip of some guy with three big ol' cock-a-roaches (or maybe they
were centipedes) crawling on his face and the guy is heard saying:
"They're just like Moe, Larry & Curly... except they're BUGS!"
Exactly what the insect-faced oddfellow meant by that I'm not certain.
