Known to anybody under 40 as "that guy that was on Scooby-Doo a couple of times".

I learned to appreciate Mr. Reed when I worked at a used record store in college. Nutty guy!

didja know..Jerry Reed was originally going to play Bandit in "Smokey and the Bandit" until Burt got interested in the movie. He did play 'Bandit' in the third one, tho..
And check him out in "Gator", he was a mean s.o.b., pretty convincing, too! (Bama McCall, remember?)
