Very Entertaining, Thanks for posting, many "Stooge Routines" replayed here, nice to see Emil And Jean in different roles, although Jean plays the Christine McIntire part from Who Done It. And Emil still falls the best when hit, straight back.

Thanks Sadistic Stooge!

Two observations:

1.)  The more of these things I watch, it's obvious Columbia had a very distinct comedy style that just happened to suit The Three Stooges (and Dudley Dickerson!) best.

2.) Jean Willes was flat out gorgeous.

Thanks

I would love to see the other 3 shots that Max Baer and Maxie Rosenbloom made at Columbia

Geez, you ain't kidding!  See a couple of Andy Clyde's and I'm sure there's others as well.  Will watch these later this weekend and try to post links to them for posterity on this site (I may make a catch all Columbia shorts thread).  Between this and Beatle Mono weekend, among other things, I'm having a nice weekend.

Thanks to both sadistic Stooge and 2reelers.

Maxie Rosenbloom is in the Shemp Howard Lost Stooge Trilogy movies . He pretty much follows the same style of acting in all of his movies. Every time I see Max Baer, I just keep thinking that he's the father of Jethro from "The Beverly Hillbillies". I like Shemp and Christine's version of the poison glass swich a lot better than the version in "The Champ Steps Out". That being said I always enjoy watching shorts that I haven't seen before. Thanks for posting it.

You mean there was an actual comic routine happening?  I was too busy checking out Jean Willes.

All kidding aside, I agree, done much better by Shemp and Christine.  Part of the reason I bring up Ms. Willes so much is because there really isn't that much else great about this short.  Kind of standard fare, though of course I'm very grateful to see it.  The two Andy Clyde's I posted are better, IMO.

More thanks for this link.  Tall Dark & Gruesome was a cool one to see.  Good to see Dudley with a larger part than in the Stooge shorts.
