Preservation is a primary concern to every film aficionado. Time and chemistry have destroyed thousands of films over the past century.

Did you know there was a 1966 criminal conspiracy to destroy more of our film legacy?

Plenty thanks for bringing back childhood memories!  I remember as a kid spotting an elderly Francis X. Bushman in both of these episodes and being aghast (in a positive way) that he was still alive.  Now, over 40 years later, a new book on Bushman has just been published.  The writers are Lon and Debra Davis, the same couple who put together "Stooges Among Us" in 2008.  The title is "King of the Movies:  Francis X. Bushman."  How coincidental to find those Batman episodes posted on this site the day after I finished reading the Bushman book.  Anyway, for all silent film fans, I heartily recommend the new Bushman book.  In fact, I enjoyed reading it so much I felt compelled to post a review on Amazon.  Check it out if you're interested!
