I'd say that even though they're made by different studios volume 7 (hopefully Eight) will be out to coincide with this release.

I might wait for a few reviews before I decide whether or not to buy this.

Is this a public domain release, or anything new to offer?

Go ahead and buy it... one can never have too many crappy quality copies of DISORDER IN THE COURT, MALICE IN THE PALACE, SING A SONG OF SIX PANTS and BRIDELESS GROOM, from a bottom-of-the-barrel public domain label whose discs are guaranteed to fail or rot after a few plays.

...not to mention THE PHARMICIST, THE DENTIST, FATAL GLASS OF BEER, THE BARBER SHOP, THE GOLF SPECIALIST, and POOL SHARKS.

Ha, I remember getting those dvds/tapes as gifts from cheap relatives who knew I liked the stooges. I still have one thats called "the 30s" and all it is is disorder in the court and a bunch of interviews. The picture and sound quality is awful.

Oh is that what it is? Ew, I thought it was going to be Interviews or the story of the Stooges (and W.C. Fields).

I think I might give it a miss then considering, well, considering Im buying far better collections.
