My copy of Volume 5 arrived here this morning

One day ahead of when it will be in the stores! So now I have the first 5 Volumes like a lot of people here. Around 110-ish shorts out on DVD now, with around 80 to go

C'mon Sony don't let us down and get the remainder of the shorts left to be released out!!

Yeah, glad I could clarify! I was hoping that smilie wouldn't have been taken wrong >< I meant it toward the unlikelihood of the discs being "DualDisc" or whatever. Glad to clear it up though!

So how many volumes does that leave now after this? Four? Five? Another one or two with Shemp only, then one with two Shemp years and one Besser year, and then a final volume with the last of Besser and the supposed Shemp solos? How does it all break down from here?

Well, I spoke too soon, for sure. "Lame-Azon" reports my set was shipped on Sunday. It's Tuesday, release day, and the thing still hasn't entered the post office system. So, all they did was truck the thing to another distro. center!

It hasn't gone out, yet! Lame.

Can anyone explain to me why the price of this DVD set is $15.99 US from Amazon USA but $37.99 CDN from Amazon Canada?

I know the Canadian dollar has dropped somewhat against the US dollar, but this is nuts.

I decided not to pre-order from Amazon this time, I'm going to wait till later this week to pick it
up in store, if they don't have enough copies then I'll have to order online.

My money is a bit tight right now, that's why I'm being a bit patient with Vol 5.

Hopefully everyone will get there's shipped to them in a reasonable time frame

$:-\$ This is weird. Last time I ordered a DVD through DVD Empire, it got to me in TWO days after shipping out. With this Stooge volume, it shipped out last Friday, same shipping method, from the same warehouse, and STILL hasn't gotten to me yet... Hate when it takes so darn long $:-\$ Hope it gets here soon!

Picked up my copy at Best Buy. They had two left after I grabbed mine. I don't know why the Shemp sticker on the plastic wrap wasn't also on the covers for the two DVD's...but I'm just happy to have the beginning of the Shemps.

No, it's not a sticky label, rather, it is part of the front cover. It's just that the "Includes Shemp Howard" isn't on the two thin cases. Shemp is featured nicely on the gatefold image inside the disc 2 case, though!

Thanks for fixing that. lol For some reason I was thinking that it was a sticker instead of it just being on the cardboard box for the two slim cases.

It was a busy day yesterday.

Got Volume 5 in today's mail from Amazon. It shipped on March 16, with an estimated delivery date of March 23. I'm really looking forward to watching it; it will replace a lot of poor copies I have on some old videocassettes (not to mention many of them are edited for TV commercials).
