Shemp, Larry and Moe from Squareheads of the Round Table

"Hello. Oh, yes Mr Goodrich, I'm sorry we were tied up."
*SLAP*
"He means we were detained."
Talbot's body is the perfect home for the Monster's brain, which I will add to and subtract from in my experiments.

Who Done It? again: the first line is Larry; the slap and the second line are from Moe. (Corrected in editing.)

"Might pretty country around there. That's the home of the wild gooses, and the mooses, and the meeses . . ."

Larry from Don't Throw That Knife

"When we first started out I never thought we'd be three fingers on the arm of the law. I'm the first finger."

Moe in Blunder Boys. To continue:

Larry: I'm the second finger.

Shemp: I'm the hangnail!

My toin (this is may be too easy, but it's such a good line!):

"Well, as there's no other place around the place, I reckon this must be the place, I reckon."

Edited to add: Wow, thanks to this thread, I've advanced to "Beetlebrain"!

Curly in We Want Our Mummy

Hmm . . . I was quoting an earlier short, but you are right: he also uses the same liine in We Want Our Mummy, though beginning with "Being there's no other place" instead of "As there's no other place" (as I found by going to YouTube).

Anyway, you get to quote a line now.

Connie Cezan in "Tricky Dicks" when talking to Larry I believe..........

"You must come with me and take off those wet clothes."  ;)

My first thought was Jean Willes to Shemp in Gypped in the Penthouse; but I watched the scene and found that what she says to him is "You had better take those wet clothes off before you catch cold. Come on; I'll give you something to wear." Anyway, I don't see how either one qualifies as a classic line or even an interesting line.

As a follow up for ye of zee little gray matter......

"Fellas, we can't do that can we?"

I wish people wouldn't answer the question and then go away without posting another line: it slows the game down!

Offline Dr. Hugo Gansamacher

Okay, cpp has still not posted a line, so I'll offer one:

"I said I'm sorry, so shut up!"

I believe that is Moe from Hokus Pokus, correct me if I'm wrong.

You got it. ("Flagpole Jitters" would also have been correct.) Your toin.
