Not of the stature of Bette Davis, but I was a leading lady in many "A" pictures.

As you can see by the recent picture below, I'm still alive. I was a top star at MGM and never played 2nd banana to any other actress. I was always the lead.

I was never nominated for an Oscar, as the great majority of my films were light hearted fare, not much drama. My favorite co-star was Red Skelton, my least fave was Gene Kelly. God, he was an asshole.
