Topic: Favorite Stooge!!

When I was in High School, I dated a girl whose father knew Larry Fine.  Larry used to write them letters from the
retirement home that he lived in.  They used to let me read his letters.  He always used a rubberstamp at the end of his letters that was a characture of himself.  Larry was the best actor of the stooges even though he had a hard time remembering lines.

My favorite Stooge? It would be impossibe to say. I like the teams of Moe, Larry and Curly and Moe, Larry and Shemp.
While in Los Angeles for a 10 day vacation, I went to the graves of Curly, Shemp, Moe and Larry in that order.

This one is tough since the Stooges were a unit, regardless of who played 3rd Stooge.
My vote goes to Larry - he was in the act from beginning to end. I think Moe tended to overact sometimes but not Larry. His best moments were understated. My two cents...

Off the subject, it would be fascinating to see interview footage with Curly (or Shemp). It's difficult to imagine them out of character, especially Curly. I guess no such thing exists, except for the silent home movie footage.

2.  Tie:  The Howard Brothers, Moe, Curly & Shemp
3.  Tie:  The Joes, Besser & DeRita

Yes, I do like Moe, Curly & Shemp equally.  And I also like the Joe's equally.  Larry is my favorite.
