Hal Roach didn't work at MGM... he had his own studio, The Hal Roach Studios. 1927 to 1938, MGM was Roach's distributor.

There are only two Hal Roach Studios films in the Stooges' filmography... Shemp cameoed in ROAD SHOW (1941), and Ted Healy starred in WISE GUYS PREFER BRUNETTES (1926).
