Along with being a
HUGE Three Stooges fan, I am also a pretty big fan of the 1980s NBC sitcom
Cheers. Earlier this week I visited a local Best Buy to do some price shopping on various season sets on DVD. Out of curiosity, I made my way to the comedy section to see which Stooges releases were being stocked. I was so happy to see that, not only were they stocking Sony's
Volume One collection, but that they had
THREE copies for sale at $19.99 each. I am so glad that stores are actually carrying this title. The more stores that carry it, the easier it will be for the casual fan to find it. This works in our favor, seeing that the more copies sold, the better chance we have at getting future sets released.
Volume Two is on the way, but we're only half-way through the Curly years. We haven't even entered the Shemp and Besser eras yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Best Buy and other stores actually stock the new set when it is released in May. I bought my copy of
Volume One from Best Buy on the release date. Here's looking forward to May!
