Howdy Doody's Christmas

Here's a rare short. It's all about Howdy Doody, and the rest of the gang, celebrating Christmas. Sometimes I just marvel at the things one can find on Youtube. Enjoy!

I bought this on a one dollar DVD last year at Wal-Mart. Isn't Clarabell the Clown played by Captain Kangaroo?
I think Birdie will go for that!

I've heard of the Clarabelle/Captain connection but don't know for sure. I always like getting those dollar DVD's of cartoons and variety shows of the 50s and more. Its like watching something brand new because you have never seen it before.

Captain Kangaroo (Bob Keeshan) began his on-air career as the original "Clarabell the Clown" for the NBC "Puppet Playhouse" (aka "The Howdy Doody Show").
The tacks won't come out! Well, they went in ... maybe they're income tacks.
