Mark Evanier reports on his website that Los Angeles radio and TV personality Jim Hawthorne has died, 80-something (no exact age given).

Jim Hawthorne costarred in 4 of Joe Besser's solo Columbia shorts...

FRAIDY CAT (1951), its remake HOOK A CROOK (1955), and AIM, FIRE, SCOOT (1952) & its remake ARMY DAZE (1956).

P.S.  Sorry that I haven't been at the board for a while.  I've been busy at my current job (when I'm not looking for one), and I have also been pursuing other interests, so my interest in all things Stooge has been on the back burner for a while.  That will probably change after Christmas.
