Topic: The New New Three Stooges?

"You remind me of the Three Stooges."  "Hey!  That's an insult!"

I actually took a bit of offense to that one when I first saw it a couple of years ago, as I feel that any association with those "gentlemen" is degrading to the Stooges (who always displayed far more honor, dignity and intelligence.)

It would be difficult to find 3 brothers and a long-time friend and business associate (Larry) who seemingly got along so well off-stage. And as they went into their later careers on TV, to be so friendly to children and their fans.

They were true gentlemen, despite the impression their "act" gave.

But that was the norm then. Today I wanted to wrap duct tape around the screaming yap of a rug-rat at the mall. If I'd have done that I would have gotten a swat on the behind from my mother. But that was 45 years ago... when children didn't rule over their parents!

I don't like the way children disrespect their parents, nowadays.  I guess I'm old-fashioned, but I teach my kids to respect their elders.  It's very important.  I know I'm old-fashioned...I like watching old movies.  Especially, the 3 Stooges.
