Topic: Leonard Maltin visits The Stoogeum

Film critic Leonard Maltin is in town this weekend [Apr. 7 - 8] for the Philadelphia Film Festival.  Leonard has been a member of the Stooges Fan Club since I took over in 1986 and asked me if he could come check out The Stoogeum while he was in the area. He and his wife Alice spent the morning at the building enjoying the Stoogeabilia and Leonard even pointed out some factoids about a few of the pieces that even I was unaware of.

On his website, Mr. Maltin has posted favorable comments about his visit to The Stoogeum...

was at The Three Stooges Fan Club

Convention recently at Fort Washington,

Pa.?


   I'm sorry that I missed him and

I hope that I will be able to see him

again at The Three Stooges Fan Club

Convention Next Year(Since next year

will mark the 50th Anniversary of The

rerunning of the boys' films on tv..I know

that ABC TV tried to show the films back in

1949..but 1958 is the year that TV helped to

revive the team's careers via the tv reruns)


   Depending on Lenny's scheduale on

"Entertainment Tonight"and his other

projects?


   Hopefully?


   He may return to the convention

next year.

I didn't know that Lenny Maltin was at The Three Stooges Fan Club [Meeting] recently at Fort Washington, Pa.?

He was not at the Meeting.

As noted in the original post, Leonard was in Philadelphia the weekend of April 7. He made an appointment for a private tour of the museum.

So, I just saw the spot on Headline news about the Stoogeum. I dropped an entire bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Its so rare to hear the boys mentioned on tv, let alone hear about the "Stooge Mecca" and our fearless leader Gary. Rock out Mr. Lassin! Now to clean up this mess........
