The February 19, 2007 issue of Newsweek mentions the Stooges in the "Boomer Files" article.
The online file is text only but the issue contains a nice b/w photograph of Moe, Larry, and Curly.

The photo of the Stooges is listed 'circa 1932' but it appears to be one from about the early-to-mid 40s based on their appearance.

I get Newsweek every week. I saw that Stooges picture yesterday claiming to be from 1932. In 1932, The Stooges were working with Ted Healy, so he'd be in the picture too. Also, Curly was not yet a Stooge in 1932. He joined in 1933. Shemp was still the third Stooge in 1932. I would date that picture at around 1940-1942. It is possible that the picture was supposed to be dated 1942, but there was a typo along the way, and the non-Stooge fans at Newsweek didn't catch it!

Just to point out how fucking stupid I am, I will correct myself on that last post of mine! Curly DID join in 1932, but that picture is still definitely much newer than 1932!
