Yeah, that's Rory Gallagher I believe...

Amazing guitarist, never saw him live.  I believe he's passed on now, correct me if I'm wrong though.

I had heard his music, but I had never seen him play before. He was popular before MTV and the Internet. Not only could he play, but he really knew how to work an audience. Your right he passed away at the age of 47 in 1995.
