GOOD GUYS, THE - No Orchids For the Diner

Rufus Butterworth (Bob Denver) and Bert Gramus (Herb Edelman) have been friends since childhood. Bert and his wife own "Bert's Place," a struggling diner. Rufus has sold his taxi business and now co-owns the diner, which has been relocated to the beach. Rufus' constant get-rich-quick schemes never pan out, but do manage to create comedic predicaments for the two friends.

Restaurant critic Lilli Resphigi (Phyllis Diller) buys a beachfront home near the diner, and Rufus and Bert begin a campaign to have her do a review, including having Rufus make a play for Lilli. Joe Besser and Diller's husband Warde Donovan portray Lilli's assistants.
