FATHERS' DAY

A Fathers Day special presented by the Daily Record Newspaperboys Club of the Air. From an article in Monday's edition of The Daily Record... The program featured appropriate songs, instrumental music, and an original drama. Fathers joined their sons in community singing. Governor Furcolo's Father's Day Proclamation was also read. The Three Stooges, stars of motion pictures, television and stage livened up the affair by entertaining. They also participated in a drama with the newspaperboys. Before leaving, the comedians presented the newspaperboys and their parents with tickets for a day of fun at beautiful Pleasure Island in Wakefield.


The Stooges' radio guest spot was in conjunction with a personal appearance at Pleasure Island Park that began on Saturday June 18.
