TONIGHT ON BROADWAY was the summer replacement for EVERSHARP SCHICK VARIETIES (aka THE CONNEE BOSWELL SHOW). It featured music and comedy, and sports commentary from Ted Husing. Vocalist Jane Froman replaced Boswell on the June 3, 1946 broadcast, and continued thru September 16, 1946. Comic Joe Besser was signed to costar for the summer, but the exact date of his first episode is unavailable and is guessed that he also continued thru Sept. 16. Bobby Doyle, Ted Husing and Ray Bloch were already regulars, and continued into this summer season.
