WHATEVER BECAME OF... ? - Moe Howard

Air Date/Released Wednesday, February 17, 1971
Station/Studio WBAI-FM New York City (radio)
Host/Star Richard Lamparski
Featuring Moe Howard (Solo)

Richard Lamparski, author of the "Whatever Became of...?" series of books, hosted a New York radio show and interviewed celebrities featured in his books.

Moe Howard was the guest for this episode, discussing his life and The Three Stooges. (It was repeated in June 1971, and some sources report that as the original airdate.)

Like his autobiography, Moe Howard interviews that provide the Stooges' story from the head Stooge's point-of-view are noteworthy. However, the Lamparski interview continues Moe's habit of misrecollection, exaggeration and the occasional tall tale. e.g., Larry joined Healy in 1928 (not 1925), Moe did not meet Larry until early 1929, Shemp did not leave the act in 1932 to play Knobby Walsh for Vitaphone, Moe did not throw the pies in the shorts, etc.

Cast: Richard Lamparski (Host), Moe Howard
