MGM and Maxwell House teamed up to present GOOD NEWS, a variety show that was also designed to showcase current MGM films, and present dramatization digests and behind-the-scenes looks with its stars.
James Stewart, Robert Young and Florence Rice appear to promote and perform scenes from their MGM feature NAVY BLUE AND GOLD (1937). Fannie Brice and Hanley Stafford perform their radio characters of "Baby Snooks & Daddy," which was popular enough to later receive its own show. Healy and his stooges perform an encore adaption of their stage act for radio.
