TOM DUGGAN SHOW, THE

Air Date/Released Thursday, September 20, 1956
Station/Studio KCOP-TV Los Angeles
Host/Star Tom Duggan
Featuring Moe, Larry and Joe

Former Chicago talk show host and commentator, Tom Duggan relocated to Los Angeles in early 1956 and hosted a weeknight 10PM - 12AM discussion show. In spite of his frequent controversial comments and problems with alcohol, Duggan established himself as a popular TV and L.A. area personality.

In a Sept. 22, 1956 letter to Ted Healy's first wife Betty Braun Healy, Stan Laurel related that he had seen Moe Howard and Larry Fine on Duggan's show "the other night," and that they reminisced with stories about Ted. The exact broadcast date, and other episode details are unknown.

Joe Besser may have appeared as well, but taking Stan's letter at face value, that is only a possibility.

Betty Healy costarred with Laurel & Hardy in OUR RELATIONS (1936).

Cast: Tom Duggan (Host), Moe Howard, Larry Fine
