Self-produced DVD documentary from Donaldson Books, a companion followup to their 2002 book, The Three Stooges: The Triumphs and Tragedies of the Most Popular Comedy Team of All Time, 53-1/2 minutes. The video concentrates on Ted Healy's career, his various stooges, and concludes with his untimely death. Featured clips are from NERTSERY RHYMES (1933), BEER AND PRETZELS (1933), PLANE NUTS (1933), ROAST-BEEF AND MOVIES (1933), THE BIG IDEA (1934), HOLLYWOOD ON PARADE # B-9 (1934), RECKLESS (1935), DISORDER IN THE COURT (1936), VARSITY SHOW (1937), HOLLYWOOD HOTEL (1938), BRIDELESS GROOM (1947) and SING A SONG OF SIX PANTS (1947), plus archival photographs. Generic stock footage is employed through the narrative.


The complete, original trailer for VARSITY SHOW (1937) is included, featuring clips of Healy and Walter Catlett. WB's DVD of that musical/comedy features the re-release trailer, without the Healy/Catlett clip.
