HOLIDAY GREETINGS FROM THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW

Air Date/Released Sunday, December 20, 1992
Station/Studio CBS / Andrew Solt Prods.
Host/Star Bob Newhart
Featuring Moe, Larry and Curly Joe

THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW was a Sunday night variety show institution on CBS from 1948 - 1971. It featured a wide variety of acts, including ballet, comics and comedians, musical and dramatic scenes from Broadway, rock & roll, opera, performing animals, and the list goes on. In spite of his quirky diction and awkward gestures, Sullivan himself became a celebrity.

This holiday-themed retrospective special presented performance clips primarily from Christmas episodes. Classic scenes from other months of the year are also showcased. The Three Stooges appear in a 30-second segment of their "Stand-In" sketch from May 14, 1961. The same clip aired June 23, 1963, on Sullivan's 15th Anniversary Show.
