A man and his wife leave New York and purchase a southern mansion. Overnight, her usual overbearing, nagging manner is replaced with an endearing and loving personality. Harley (Joe Besser), the duck pond caretaker, informs Lee that Agnes has been possessed by the 18th century spirit of Claire Whitman, who once owned the mansion, but was murdered by her husband for an unconsummated affair with the butler. But if Turner makes love to the sensuous 'Claire,' her spirit will finally find rest, and Agnes will return... something Lee doesn't necessarily want.
