GALAXY GOOF-UPS, THE - The Treasure of Congo-Bongo

Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, and sidekicks Scare Bear and Quack-Up, are THE GALAXY GOOF-UPS (1978 - 1979), a bumbling interplanetary police force under the command of Captain Snerdley. When they're not enforcing space law, the Goof-Ups can be found at the Galaxy Disco.

Joe Besser is the voice of Scare Bear.

A cargo ship carrying the Treasurematic Computer, a machine that can create gold, silver and jewels, crash-lands on the jungle planet Congo-Bongo while under the remote control of Capt. Snerdley. Saboteurs Rupert and Dimitri are to blame, and the Goof-Ups are sent to retrieve the machine from the wreckage before the crooks can make off with it.


13 episodes were produced, initially airing as a segment of the 90-minute YOGI's SPACE RACE (joined by two additional H-B shows, THE BUFORD FILES and THE GALLOPING GHOST). After 8 weeks, GALAXY GOOF-UPS spun off into its own half-hour show.
