JEANNIE - The Pigeon

Saturday morning animated series, adapted from the NBC sitcom I DREAM OF JEANNIE (1965 - 1970). "Teenaged" Jeannie is released from a 1,500-year imprisonment in her bottle, by teenage surfer Corey Anders (STAR WARS' Mark Hamill). She is joined in her new life by Junior-Genie Babu (Joe Besser), a well-meaning bumbler whose magical call to action, "Yabble Dabble!," creates one goof-up after another. Complicating their adventures are Corey's goofy best friend Henry, and snooty rich kid S. Melvin Farthinghill.

Corey and Henry try their hand at racing homing pigeons. When their trained champion turns into a nesting mother, S. Melvin taunts and challenges the boys to a race. With Jeannie's help and encouragement, Corey and Henry accept Farthinghill's dare with Mervin, a hopeless case that flies with his eyes shut and a fear of heights. Jeannie and Babu begin a program of avian confidence building.
