Saturday morning animation series spoof of THE WILD WILD WEST and MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE, the Houndcats are a group of cunning and bumbling feline & canine Secret Service agents in the 1910s Southwest U.S. Team leader Stutz is assisted by master-of-disguise Putty Puss (Joe Besser), inventor genius Rhubarb, IQ-challenged strong-dog Mussel Mutt, jack-of-all-trades Ding Dog, and the team's high tech jalopy Spark-Plug.
An airplane carrying government secret papers crashes in the Rockies. The Houndcats must retrieve the briefcase, before gangster Grogan and his gang can do the same and ransom the plans. Grogan disguises one of his men as Mussel Mutt, to send our heroes astray. But unknown to Grogan, the missing pilot he finds is really Putty Puss in disguise.
