JOEY BISHOP SHOW, THE - The Baby Formula

Joey Barnes hosts a network, late-night New York talk show. Episodes revolve around his professional and personal life, with celebrities appearing as themselves. At home are Joey's beautiful wife Ellie, and maid Hilda. Joe Besser costars as Mr. Jillson, the building superintendent, a high-strung man with a heart of gold, and a never-seen wife who is only heard yelling "Jillson!" through the building's ventilation system. Rounding out the main characters is Larry Corbett, Joey's best friend, head writer and manager.

Mrs. Bennett leaves her baby with Ellie for a few hours. When Ellie has a doctor appointment, Joey and Larry offer to sit with the infant. Attempting to make the baby's formula, the boys accidentally use a recipe for turkey dressing. Add some Jillson for further confusion, and mix well.


In the series' 2nd and 3rd seasons it aired in color, one of the first situation comedies to do so.
