Joey Barnes hosts a CBS Sunday night variety show from New York. Episodes revolve around his professional and personal life, with celebrities appearing as themselves. At home are Joey's beautiful wife Abby, and maid Hilda. Joe Besser costars as Mr. Jillson, the apartment building superintendent, a high-strung man with a heart of gold. Joey's and Larry's Army reunion hits a snag when Joey learns he has to deliver a testimonial speech for 'Monster' Murdock, the meanest Sergeant in the service.
