Ray Milland stars as Ray McNutly, the mild-mannered English professor of Lynnhaven College for Women... the object of his students' affections, and Dean Bradley's frequent annoyance. McNutly relies on his loving and attractive wife to assist him with the challenges created by his job, and his brash best friend Pete Thompson.
Dean Bradley assigns McNutly the job of organizing the annual faculty dinner dance. When the evening's entertainment cancels at the last minute, Ray goes to a low-rent talent agency for help, which results in the college affair receiving an Arabian stripper act.
