Half-hour, dramatic anthology series, adapted from a popular 1940s series hosted by Ronald Colman. This television adaptation was hosted by Adolphe Menjou, who occasionally starred in the stories presented. Stories were adapted from the classics, ranging from farce to tragedy.
Joe Besser starred in a rare dramatic role as a smalltown mayor in the story "No Tears." Under the control of a local mobster, a mayor goes on vacation to avoid a subpoena which would involve him in a reform movement.
