Situation comedy about neighbors and best friends, the Hubbards and the Buells. The straight-laced Hubbards were successful lawyer Herb and his wife Eve. The more unconventional and somewhat bombastic Buells were Roger, a television writer, and Kaye. The families' kids, Jerry and Suzie, elope and set up housekeeping the Hubbards' renovated garage apartment. Episodes usually revolve around the misadventures and schemes of Eve and Kaye.
The in-laws argue over who will use two theatre tickets received in the mail. Naturally, both couples wind up at the show and try to con each other out of the seats, to the consternation of the usherette and fellow patrons.
