In each episode multi-millionaire John Beresford Tipton makes a gift of $1MM dollars to a stranger, with the help of his secretary-assistant Michael Anthony. The dramatic anthology tells the stories of the recipients, and how it changes their lives for better... or worse.
Three bums make their living by selling pamphlets in a local park, extolling the evils of money. One, Harvey Blake (Jay Novello), receives $1MM from Mr. Tipton, but under the conditions of the gift he cannot reveal its nature or source. His two friends (Joe Besser and John Dehner), and the police, assume that Harvey's prosperity is the result of illegal activity.
