TV adaptation of the popular novels by Louis Joseph Vance, the cases of world-travelling, reformed jewel thief Michael Lanyard (aka the Lone Wolf), who assists the police as an investigative expert, and isn't afraid to bend the rules to achieve results.
Deported gangster Wells Jackman is infected with cholera, and has reentered the country. The police enlist Lanyard to help track him down before he can start an epidemic. Joe Besser guest stars as 'Cupie', pool hall owner and ex-associate of Jackman.
