One-hour comedy and music variety series, featuring guest stars appealing to young adults, teens and children. Many of Lewis' movie characters, including 'The Nutty Professor,' appeared in sketches.
Jerry's opening is interrupted by the show's tailor (Joe Besser), who insists that Jerry's rented tux must be immediately fitted for a bridegroom, who he brings on stage. Lewis spoofs change in Presidential administrations, as the outgoing Secretary of Defense briefing his successor (Milton Frome). Connie Stevens sings "On the Other Side of the Tracks." The Osmond Brothers clown with Jerry for "Danny Boy," and perform a xylophone version of "Mighty Fine Music." In skits, Connie Stevens is a loose airline stewardess, 'The Nutty Professor' demonstrates a new laughing gas for use against campus protesters, and Jerry & Connie perform vignettes on the topic of The National Marriage Test. In the finale, Jerry sings one of his MDS Telethon signature tunes, "Once in a Lifetime."
