Guest hosts were featured each week, several on a recurring basis; Bing Crosby, Milton Berle, Jimmy Durante, Sammy Davis Jr. and Don Adams among them. Acts ranged from The Rolling Stones to Groucho Marx, and PALACE became well-known for its annual Bing Crosby Christmas special.

Music and comedy from host Milton Berle, who sings "What a Night This Is Going to Be." Guest Martha Raye clowns with Berle, and also sings "Toot Toot Tootsie Goodbye" and "Those Were the Days." Joe Besser appears as a stage manager enamored of Martha Raye. Pro footballer and actor Rosie Grier sings "Slip Away." Additional musical numbers from singer-dancer Barrie Chase ("Suzie Q"), Mary Beth Hughes, and teenage musicians The Third Wave. Comedy from actor-comedian Joey Forman.
