Door-to-door cosmetics saleswoman Fran Fine, a Brooklynite, becomes nanny to the three children of a wealthy Broadway producer.
Fran’s sister sets up camp in the Sheffield mansion after she leaves her husband. Sis quickly makes a nuisance of herself, so Fran plots to reunite her with her husband. Chaos erupts between Fran, sis and the ex, and unfortunately it happens just as Maxwell and C. C. are hosting a musicale for potential Broadway investors, with Niles subbing for their no-show singer.
As Maxwell yells at Fran for the bedlam, Niles asks how he thinks his performance went...
Niles: Excuse me sir, how do you think it went?
Maxwell: Didn’t you notice Larry, Moe and Curly going on in the background!?
