POLICE SQUAD! - Testimony of Evil

Broad, slapstick satire of police procedurals, starring Leslie Nielsen. Short-lived on TV, it launched the popular series of NAKED GUN film comedies.

A posh nightclub's comedian is killed by a drug overdose / car crash after skimming money from the drug runners who run the club. Drebin goes undercover as the comic’s replacement to solve the murder and shut down the dope operation.

Under the influence, comic Joey (Danny Dayton) begins hallucinating as his car veers along a mountain road. Among his visions are The Three Stooges in a brief clip from GRIPS, GRUNTS AND GROANS (1937).
