YOUNG SHELDON - The Yips and an Oddly Hypnotic Bohemian

Air Date/Released Thursday, December 9, 2021
Station/Studio CBS / Warner Bros. Television

This spin-off of THE BIG BANG THEORY (2007 – 2019) looks at the childhood of socially impaired genius Sheldon Cooper, as well as his east Texas family.

Although a genius, Sheldon develops a case of the "science yips," an inability to navigate his college science tests due to overthinking... he has to learn to "stop thinking." Meanwhile his sister Missy has a similar experience pitching for her baseball team, and father George continues his growing relationship with neighbor Brenda Sparks.

Hoping that TV will tranquilize his mind and relax his thought patterns, Sheldon begins channel surfing. Coming upon the Stooges in WHO DONE IT? (1949), he dismisses it as "too violent."
