Pizza delivery boy Philip J. Fry accidentally freezes himself in a cryogenic chamber in 1999, and thaws and wakes up in 2999. Finding his way in this new time, Philip joins a spaceship delivery service run by a descendant nephew, and becomes involved in the lives of its eccentric crew.
The ship's physician, Dr. Zoidberg, is an alien who imitates Curly Howard's Woop, woop, woop when he becomes excited, which is often. Voiced by Stooges fan Billy West, Zoidberg also does an occasional Shemp Heep, heep, heep!
