FBI agent Fox Mulder heads up an FBI department that investigates cases related to strange and unexplained phenomena. Mulder’s efforts are often tied to his belief in extra-terrestrial life on Earth, and learning the fate of his sister who he believes was abducted by aliens when they were children. Joining him is Agent Dana Scully, a skeptic of Mulder’s fantastic theories, yet fiercely devoted to her partner, and always looking for the proven scientific explanations to their cases.
At a Las Vegas defense contractors convention, the Lone Gunmen see their old friendly adversary Susanne Modeski and discover that she’s being used against her will in a criminal conspiracy. Mulder is unavailable, so the trio “impersonate” him in a phone call to Scully and urge her to come to Vegas and investigate. When the Lone Gunmen impersonate Mulder in the phone call to Scully, they say Trust me. To which she responds, I trust you Mulder... it’s the Three Stooges I’m not so sure about.
