FBI agent Fox Mulder heads up an FBI department that investigates cases related to strange and unexplained phenomena. Mulder’s efforts are often tied to his belief in extra-terrestrial life on Earth, and learning the fate of his sister who he believes was abducted by aliens when they were children. Joining him is Agent Dana Scully, a skeptic of Mulder’s fantastic theories, yet fiercely devoted to her partner, and always looking for the proven scientific explanations to their cases.
Conspiracy theorists The Lone Gunmen alert Mulder and Scully that a hacker has discovered 50 years’ proof of alien existence in the computer files of the U.S. Dept. of Defense. When the Lone Gunmen barge into a sick Mulder’s apartment late at night, he responds, I’m really not in the mood for the Three Stooges.
